I choose for the 'stropielekker', because I lived first in Zaamslag (Where the statue is) and I like that. It stand in Zaamslag that is a village. This stand here, because earlyer there was a lorry with -stroopvaten- and the -stroopvaten- leak so the people like the treacle. And they run after the lorry with a pan because than can they the teacle capture. And when they have the teacle they lick it. And that is what you see: the boy licks the teacle. So this statue remember us to that time.
My opinion:
The sculpture is very funny with the boys who lick the teacle.
